Dear IH System Customer,
IH System and its ISPs are planning an emergency maintenance. The details of this maintenance are below.

Location(s): Central U.S.
Description: We will be performing emergency maintenance to upgrade code on our backbone routers. This emergency upgrade is a result of several critical security vulnerabilities that have recently been announced. The security vulnerabilities have been reported in the press over the past several days, as in the following articles from PC World and Praetorian Prefect:

Customer Impact: Engineers will work on one router at a time to minimize the impact of this maintenance. Customers may experience momentary degraded performance in the form of increased latency or momentary packet loss and single attached customers should anticipate as much as 10 to 15 minutes of downtime.
