Managed Hosting
IHSYSTEM manages the software and
operating system running on your machines. We'll make
sure that all the latest OS patches are applied, keeping
you safe from security exploits. We'll monitor your applications
and fine-tune them, so that you can get the best performance
from your hosting budget. More detailed information about
managed hosting is available here.
Dedicated Managed Hosting
This is your most cost-effective
solution. In addition to managing the OS and the software,
we also own and manage the hardware. We will advise you
as to what hardware is required, and what peripherals
you need for your solution. We will monitor the hardware
and, since we own it, replace it if it ever fails, at
no cost to you. More information about dedicated hosting
is available here.
Examples of clients who use dedicated managed hosting
are service-oriented companies who need custom Web-based
applications, but want to focus on their core businesses.
They outsource all their IT-related needs to us. These
clients also are the ones whose servers generate the largest
net profit for the clients.
Collocated Managed Hosting
The only difference between Collocated
and Dedicated Managed Hosting is that with Collocated
Hosting you own the hardware. Therefore, you are responsible
for maintaining it and replacing it when needed. Of course,
if hardware fails we can supply you with replacements
that you can use as either dedicated or collocated. More
information about collocation is available here.
Customers who chose Collocated Managed Hosting are usually
those who are migrating their servers they own to us from
their own facility or from our competitors' data centers.
This usually happens if the cost of hosting it at their
own facility gets too high, or the service that they receive
from our competitors is not up to their high standards.
Non-Managed Hosting
With Non-Managed Hosting, you
are responsible for the OS and the software running on
your machine. Usually, we don't even have any access to
your machine. If any upgrades or patches are required,
you are responsible for applying them
Dedicated Non-Managed Hosting
With Dedicated Non-Managed Hosting,
we own and manage the hardware, while you manage the software
and OS. This is usually done when clients want to use
their internal development team to manage and mantain
their OS and software for proprietary and confidentiality
reasons, but don't want to be bothered with the maintenance
and management of the hardware. More information about
dedicated hosting is available here.
Examples of clients who use dedicated non-managed hosting
are companies who have their own devlopment teams but
not high-speed connectivity to the Internet. They also
usually choose this option if they are just beginning
to embark on a new project, before any hardware is purchased.
Collocated Non-Managed Hosting
With Collocated Non-Managed Hosting,
you own and manage everything: the hardware, the software
and OS. This is usually done when clients want to use
their internal development team to manage and mantain
their OS and software for proprietary and confidentiality
reasons, and already have their own hardware that they
feel comfortable maintaining. More information about collocation
is available here.
Examples of clients who use collocated non-managed hosting
are companies who have their own devlopment teams and
hardware, but not high-speed connectivity to the Internet.
Clients who want to offer basic hosting services to their
own clients usually choose this option. Their own system
administrators manage the machines from a remote location.
